Information about the care of your furniture.

All our islands are painted in Eggshell paint (unless requested otherwise) which is wipeable with a slightly damp cloth, or with furniture polish and a cloth. Our tops are waxed in Fiddes Wax and coated in Fiddes worktop oil which is water resistant and spill resistant. To clean surfaces please use your normal antibacterial spray/water and a cloth. You can also use a beeswax polish on the wooden tops. Please do not use bleach on any surface as this may damage and strip the paint or wax and remove the water resistant coating. 

We recommend that you re-oil your surface with wood oil every 12-18months in standard household kitchens, and every 2 months in commercial kitchens, to ensure that the surface remains water and stain resistant. To do this you just need to put some oil onto a dry, lint free cloth and rub into the wood surface.

Please do not place hot pans on the surface of your island, or table as this may damage them. 

Please do not cut directly on to the work surface as this will damage them.

Spillages should be cleaned up as soon as possible to help prevent stains.
